PLANNING

We advocate careful planning for all types of VSP surveys. This standpoint is derived from many different surveys ranging from simple checkshots to complex moving source VSPs in 2D and 3D.

The planning should conclude in a work plan for the survey, describing the job to be carried out and with appropriate focus on the HSE aspect.

For more advanced surveys we will also recommend that a pre-survey modelling is carried out in order to confirm the survey parameters and configuration.
